Covid Care: Rajouri admin initiates aggressive testing in Micro Containment Zones

Rajouri, Jan 28: Strengthening further the containment strategy for the management of COVID19 cases, the District Administration Rajouri has intensified testing drives in the micro containment zones and random sampling at busy markets for the early detection of the positive cases.

The testing drive is being conducted on the directions of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.

The Health Authorities have also arranged the testing kits in bulk to avoid any delay in the testing process. Quick suppression of COVID19 infections requires testing more people to identify who is infected; tracking them to make sure they do not spread the disease further and tracing with whom they have been in contact.

The micro containment zones are under strict lockdown and tight perimeter control except for essential needs. There is proper house to house surveillance within the zones by the concerned teams while it has been made compulsory for the persons residing in the micro containment zones to get themselves tested for COVID 19.

The District Administration is taking appropriate measures to contain the virus in the containment zones besides sufficient supply of the essential needs is also being maintained for the convenience of the persons residing in these zones.

It is pertinent to mention here that there are 43 Micro Containment zones in the district and as many as 4143 covid samples have been taken.
