ADDC Kishtwar reviews performance of Rural Development Deptt

Kishtwar, Jan 28: To review the progress of MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC,SBM-ll, CD & Panchayats, B2V3 and District Capex 2021-22 works and to take stock of functioning of Rural Development Department, Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Sham Lal today chaired a meeting of concerned officers and field functionaries  here at Conference Hall DC office Complex Mini Secretariat Kishtwar.

The meeting was attended by District Panchayat Officer Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal; XEn REW Parshotam Singh ,BDO Paddar D M Affaqi; BDO Mughal Maidan Arun Badyal; BDO Nagseni Abhay Indu Sharma; BDO Kishtwar Sheetal Sharma; BDO Drabshalla Sobia Shad; BDO Chatroo Tasleem Wani; BDO Thakrai Sonia Parihar, MIS assistants besides DEOs.

At the outset, ADDC Kishtwar reviewed block wise status functioning and staff position of Rural Development Department in the District.

He directed the BDOs to improve functioning of the department to redress the grievances of people at their doorsteps.

The ADDC Kishtwar also reviewed the sector wise and block-wise  physical and financial status of works  of MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC,SBM-ll, CD &  Panchayats, B2V and District Capex 2021-22 in the district and passed a number of directions to the concerned.

The BDOs apprised the ADDC Kishtwar in detail about the achievements made in different sectors in their respective blocks.

While taking blockwise review of the physical and financial status of the works, the Additional District Development Commissioner impressed upon the BDOs to complete each project before 31st March 2022. He stressed on regular monitoring of development works for effective implementation and maintenance of  the quality of these  works.

He gave special thrust on plugging in the gap between the works taken and the work completed.

The ADDC directed the BDOs and the MIS to complete geo tagging and uploading of the all material bills under MGNREGA by 31 January 2022.

Furthermore, he stressed on the BDOs, XEn REW and the technical staff to work in a collective and collaborative manner to achieve tangible results on the ground.

The BDOs were directed to initiate the formulation of the MGNREGA and Area Development Plan (ADP) for the financial year 2022-23 and submit it in a time bound manner.

While reviewing the progress under the PMAY, the DPO informed the chair that 66 percent houses have been completed till date under the scheme in the district.

Meanwhile, the BDOs were directed to ensure the completion of the tendering through the Rural Engineering Wing of the left out works under the District capex, CD Panchayat and B2V-3 within the week of time.
