Mughal Darbar Restaurant sealed for violating Covid-19 guidelines in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 22, KNT: Amid the Omicron scare and a surge in Covid-19 cases in Kashmir Valley, Srinagar Administration on Saturday sealed ‘Mughal Darbar Restaurant’ for allegedly violating Disaster Management guidelines with regard to Covid related SOPs.

Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that as a part of a series of inspections conducted in view of the enforced lockdown, a flying squad team of the Srinagar Administration went for a surprise inspection at Mughal Darbar Restaurant located at Polo View Srinagar where they found a gathering.

Immediately, people present in the Restaurant were asked to leave and the premises was sealed on spot for violation, especially in wake of the emerging Omicron variant of COVID.

“We got this information that there was overcrowding. We visited the spot and sealed the Restaurant,” said an official to news agency Kashmir News Trust.

Pertinently, a lockdown is enforced for the weekend in Kashmir Valley in wake of a ‘surge’ in Covid-19 cases. (KNT)
