RSS leader dead, gets military honours

Jammu, Jan 14 :Veteran Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Brigadier (Retd) Suchet Singh, who died here overnight, was cremated with military honours here on Friday. He was 80.

Brigadier Singh, who was a Prant Sanghchalak of RSS in Jammu and Kashmir, passed away at his residence. He was unwell for almost an year.

Many RSS and BJP leaders and civil society members attended the last rites.

After retiring from the Army on July 31, 1997, he also served as the Director of the Sainik Welfare Board, Jammu and Kashmir. He was earlier the National Vice President of the Ex-Servicemen Service Council.
