Chennai, Jan 14 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended
Pongal greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu and said the festival was
synonymous with the vibrant culture of the State.
In a tweet, both in English and Tamil, Mr Modi said “Pongal is
synonymous with the vibrant culture of Tamil Nadu.”
“On this special occasion, my greetings to everyone and especially
the Tamil people spread all over the world”, he added.
“I pray that our bond with nature and the spirit of brotherhood in
our society are deepened”, Mr Modi said.
