ADC Kulgam holds meeting with Imams, Khateebs, Auqaf members

Kulgam, Jan, 13: The Additional Development Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather today held a meeting with religious leaders, Auqaf members at the mini-secretariat, here.

The meeting was convened to discuss various issues related to covid-19 mitigation efforts in the district.

The meeting discussed various precautionary measures that need to be taken in view of the looming threat of spread of the third wave of Covid-19 Pandemic and the SOPs to be followed especially at public places, religious places.

The ADC urged the Imams, Khateebs and members of Auqaf Committees to utilize their influence in societies and motivate the people to adopt CAB and other precautionary measures especially use of face masks and maintaining social distance.

He urged them to ask people not to lower the guard and continue to maintain the highest level of alertness and adherence to SOPs to counter the spread of virus.

He added that collectively we can overcome this situation and every stakeholder and individual has to play his role.

He also sensitized them to ensure strict adherence of SOPs at religious and other places.

Meanwhile district Administration Kulgam continues mass awareness campaigns, vaccination and testing across the district.

The Motor Vehicle department distributed masks and carried drive to enforce and implement CAB, SOPs.
