Arrangements for R-Day discussed at Ganderbal

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 28: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Baba convened a meeting of officers to review arrangements for upcoming Republic Day celebration in the district here today.

The meeting was informed that the main function will be held in the premises of Qamriya ground, Ganderbal where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the march past presented by contingents drawn from District Police, CRPF, Armed Police, NCC, PTS Manigam and students of various educational institutions. Cultural programs would also be presented by the students during the function.

The meeting reviewed status of arrangements threadbare including reparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, podium, security, seating, transportation, parking, electricity, refreshment, Medicare, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures.

The ADC issued instructions to all concerned departments to induce advance arrangements for smooth conduct of the function across the district with strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs at all levels.

While highlighting the importance of the R-Day, the ADC stressed Concerned departments to make proper arrangements for trouble free rehearsals and final day celebration.

Meanwhile, the ADC directed the concerned to ensure that all arrangements are also put in place timely for the celebration of R-Day at Sub Division, Block and Tehsil levels.

ASP, FerozYahya, CPO, ACR, ACP, CEO SDA, Executive Engineers of various wings, EO Municipality, ARTO and other concerned were present in the meeting.
