Achabal Anantnag Residents Stage Protest Against Jal Shakti Department

Anantnag, Dec 25 : Inhabitants of Gori Mohalla Achabal in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district staged a protest against alleged failure of Jal Shakti Department in providing potable water to the village.

“We have been facing acute shortage of potable water for a very long now which is putting us to a lot of inconvenience”, the inhabitants as per GNS said.

The inhabitants alleged that despite time to time representations, the department has done nothing to redress the issue.

A team of police later on reached the spot and assured the protestors that the issue will be conveyed to department concerned for an early redressal. Following the assurances, the protestors dispersed peacefully from the site.
