Srinagar, Dec 21, : River Police and SDRF team rescued a girl in the nick of time after she jumped into the river Jehlum near Abdullah Bridge here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.
The girl probably with an intention to commit suicide hails from Batamaloo area of Srinagar and she is around 20 years old.
An official from River Police told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a girl (name withheld) jumped into the river, while the alert river police and men from SDRF in a swift action retrieved her alive.
He said the girl was handed over to concerned police station where parents were informed and she was handed over to them. (KNT)
