J&K: LG chairs unified command meeting, reviews security scenario, other issues

Jammu, Dec 21: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired the Unified Command meeting and reviewed the overall security situation and other issues related to public interest and law and order as well in the Union Territory.

The meeting was attended by the top brass from the Army, Police, paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.
According to sources, the Lieutenant Governor was briefed about the prevailing security situation across the Union Territory, the border areas and the overall law and order situation.

The LG also reviewed the scenario in the aftermath of the strike by the PDD employees that was called off on Monday midnight and the workers resumed their duties this morning.

Sources said that rise in political activities after delimitation commission on Monday proposed six seats for Jammu and one for Kashmir, was also reportedly discussed in the meeting.
