JKAP 4th Battalion organises Civic Action Programme at GDC Bishnah

ADGP bats for promotion of local products under Atam Nirbhar Bharat’ initiative

JAMMU, DECEMBER 17: Jammu Kashmir Armed Police 4th Security Battalion today organized a Civic Action Programme, in Collaboration with Government Degree College Bishnah as a part of series of awareness on “Make in India/Atam Nirbhar Bharat” in the College premises.

Dr S.D.Singh Jamwal, Additional Director General of Police, Security, J&K graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Officers and Jawans of JKAP 4th Security Battalion and the students of the College including its management were present on the occasion.

Speaking at the function, the ADGP expressed happiness for organizing the Civic Action Programme and said that the initiative of the Commandant JKAP 4th Security Battalion towards the social responsibility is praise-worthy.

The ADGP emphasised that “Vocal for Local” message was given by our Prime Minister  to encourage the local products for the speedy progress of the Country and ‘to achieve the goal of Atam Nirbhar Bharat.  We should appreciate, promote and use our local products.’

While delivering a welcome speech, SSP Commandant JKAP 4th Battalion, Ashok Kunar motivated students for hard work and emphasized on the usefulness of education in nation building.

Dr.Anuradha Pandoh- Principal of the College, while speaking on the occasion, thanked the Chief Guest for making the students aware about initiatives of Security Police towards channelizing the energy of youth towards constructive purposes.

At the conclusion of the programme, the best adjudged student speakers were felicitated with Cash prizes and certificates. Refreshment packages were also served among the participants on the occasion.

Dy.SP Ajaz Ahmad of JKAP 4th Security Battalion presented the vote of thanks.
