Government hanging sword over the heads of people, says Sajad Lone, condemns arrest of mother-daughter duo

Srinagar, Dec 16,: While condemning the arrest of mother-daughter duo, Jammu Kashmir Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone on Thursday said that stick approach adopted by the government won’t yield any results.

“It is condemnable and shameful act. We can’t live at a place where the government after every hour wants to convey a message to people that it is aiming a sword toward them and they should look at it,” Sajad Lone told reporters on the sidelines of a joining function here in Srinagar today.

Pertinently, police arrested mother-daughter duo for allegedly raising anti-national slogans after the shootout in Rengreth area of Srinagar outskirts that led to the killing of two militants.

Sajad Lone said that government is the guardian and protector of the people and its not good for the government to use muscle power. “Its really shameful,” he said. (KNT)
