Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla reaches Dhaka for his two-day visit

Dhaka, Dec 7 : Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday morning for his two-day visit.

Shringla reached Dhaka on a special Indian Air Force plane. Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen welcomed him at the airport.

He will be holding talks with his counterpart on day one of his visit. He will then pay a courtesy call on Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen.

The Foreign Secretary will also pay a courtesy call on Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, General Secretary of Awami League Obaidul Quader on Tuesday afternoon.

He will pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday and then return to Delhi on the same day.

AK Abdul Momen told UNI on Monday, Indian President Ramnath Kovind would be arriving in Dhaka on December 15 to take part in the celebrations of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh independence. The Indian Foreign Secretary is visiting Dhaka as part of preparations for the upcoming visit.

This is Shringla’s second visit to Dhaka this year since March 26.

At that time, he visited Bangladesh along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh independence.
