DC Srinagar conducts Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Khimber

Inspects Developmental works, directs for timely completion of PHC, Tribal Research Institute Khimber

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 04: Continuing its endeavour to bring Administration to the door steps of the people particularly living in distant areas of the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Saturday conducted an extensive tour of Khimber.

The Deputy Commissioner presided over a Public Grievance Redressal Camp under ongoing Public Outreach Programme for on spot resolution of public issues.

District Development Council, Khimber, Kaiser Ganiee, other PRI members and a large number of people of Khimber and adjoining areas attended the Public Grievance Redressal camp.

Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, District Programme Officer, ICDS, General Manager, DIC, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, District Panchayat Officer, Block Development Officer, District Social Welfare, Assistant Commissioner Labour and other District Officers were also present on the occasion.

During the Grievance Redressal Camp, local DDC member, PRI representatives, scores of public delegations, individuals projected various issues and demands before the Deputy Commissioner including augmentation of Water supply scheme, speedy issuance of Revenue Extracts, early commissioning of Tribal Research Institute and Primary Health Centre Khimber, Veterinary Center, Fire Station, Road Widening from Gasoo to Khimber, upgradation of Middle School Takiya Sangreshi, besides providing a Social Welfare Center in the area.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, sought on the spot response from the concerned District Officers present during the Grievance Redressal camp.

He also assured them that all genuine demands and issues projected by them will be taken up with concerned authorities on priority. The DC also gave on the spot direction to the concerned officers for time bound redressal of the public issues.

Earlier, DDC member and the people of the area expressed their gratitude to the District Administration Srinagar for providing a Play-ground for the local youth so that they can exhibit their talent at national and International level Sport competitions.

Later, the DC inspected various developmental works being carried out including Tribal Research Institute and Primary Health Centre Khimber.

The DC directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of works and ensure they are made operational within set timelines.
