Advisor Farooq Khan flags off Downtown Sports Football team for Assam

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 3: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, today flagged off a senior team of Downtown Sports Football for Assam from SKICC in Srinagar.

Among others, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Assad, Secretary Sports Council J&K, Nuzhat Gul and other senior officers and officials were present on the occasion.

Advisor, while interacting with the players, urged upon them to give their best while representing Kashmir and bring laurels to the UT.

Emphasizing on Sports promotion, Advisor exhorted upon the youth to become role models for others and make best use of all facilities being provided to them. He said the government would ensure all support to sports loving youth to cherish their dreams in the sports career.

On the occasion, Advisor also felicitated various para-athletes for excelling in different fields of sports and representing J&K at national and international level.
