India logs 6,990 new Covid cases, 190 deaths

New Delhi, Nov 30: A total of 6,990 people have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours in the country, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 3,45,87,822 while the death toll rose to 4,68,980 as 190 succumbed to the virus.

On the other hand, 10,116 more people have recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,40,18,299.

The recovery rate stands at 98.35 per cent, highest since March last year.

The cumulative active caseload now stands at 1,00,543 less than one per cent of the total cases, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 64.13 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far, including 10,12,523 of the past 24 hours

Meanwhile, India has administered 123.25 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
