Demolition drive carried out in Dadsara, Tral

Decades old encroached land retrieved

PULWAMA, NOVEMBER: Under the overall Supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral, a demolition drive was carried out in village Dadsara by the joint teams of Revenue, Police Departments and MC Tral.

During the demolition drive, two Granaries (Kothaar), Concrete walls, Tin wall back with angle iron, Grills, One Gate, Gate pillars; two bathrooms were demolished on spot. Three shops were also seized.

Whole land of Revenue office was retrieved and a path for ingress egress was also cleared for Batipora Mohalla.

The demolition drive flashes a strong message for encroachers.

The encroachment as per Survey no 1738 recorded as State land, under occupation of Patwar office was encroached by way of construction.

Survey no 1565,1739 Shamilaat numbers were also encroached. A huge patch of land was encroached for decades and encroachers were enjoying the benefits on a personal basis. Made obstacles in the construction of Nayabat office and providing ingress egress to Batipora residents.

The issue has been in process since 2018 and the encroachers played various tactics in resolving the issue. They were summoned to Naib Tehsildar office, Tehsildar office and ADC’s office and were counseled. Notices were also issued to them but there was no positive approach despite repeated attempts.

Previously, a small patch of land under survey no 1738 was retrieved by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tral and ensured construction of Nayabat office, lacking premises and construction process.
