Prayagraj, Nov 29 F:ive people, including four members of the same family died in a road accident in the Nawabganj area here last night, police said on Monday.

Police sources said that one Ram Saran Pal (60), a resident of Budauna village, his son Lallu Pal (35), Samay Lal (35), and grandson Arjun Pal (11), besides Chander Pal(55) were returning home on the same motorcycle after attending the wedding ceremony on Monday night. Near Shringverpur highway road, a truck rammed their motorcycle in which five people were seriously injured.

After listening to theirscream, villagers living nearby reached the spot and informed the police. The police sent the injured to the hospital where the doctors declared all of them dead.

The driver fled with the truck after hitting the bike. Police have begun their investigations and are gathering information about the truck.
