Ludhiana, Nov 29 : A two and a half year old girl was abducted and murdered by a woman on Sunday residing in her neighbor at Shimlapuri area of Ludhiana burying her body in the ground, police said on Monday.
Police said that the family informed the police after they became suspicious of their neighbor. The accused woman has pleaded guilty.
The girl’s grandfather said that he had gone to a program. The accused neighbor took her granddaughter on a scooter and misinformed the father about not picking up the girl on the scooter.
Joint Commissioner J Elanchezhian said that due to the CCTV footage, the police arrested the accused woman and the body of the girl was recovered from the spot.
