Mayawati demands action against perpetrators of Prayagraj murders

Lucknow, Nov 27:Day after Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited Prayagraj to meet the family of a Dalit whose four members were murdered recently, Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati on Saturday questioned the state of law and order in Uttar Pradesh.

In a couple of tweets on Saturday, Ms Mayawati wrote ,”murder of four people of a Dalit family in Prayagraj recently is very sad and shameful act. This incident also shows the poor law and order of the government. It also seems that BJP is following the footsteps of the SP government in this matter.”

She further said that ,”After this incident, a BSP delegation led by Babulal Bhanwra visited the spot and found that there is tremendous terror of the dabangs in Prayagraj, due to which this incident has happened. BSP demands that the government should take strict legal action against all the guilty criminals.”

Yesterday Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the spot and met the family members of the deceased in the Phaphamau area.

The family members of the decessed informed Priyanka that police was not hearing their complaints and were protecting the criminals.

It has been reported that the mother and daughter murdered among the four, were also gang raped.

Labourer Phulchand Pasi, his wife, son and daughter were murdered at Gohari village in Sorao police station area on Wednesday last.
