Mega Block Diwas held at Kulgam

DC listens to issues of people at Manzgam

KULGAM, NOVEMBER 24: To take firsthand appraisal of issues, grievances of people for immediate their redressal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited far flung areas in Kulgam and held a grievance redressal camp under Block Diwas initiative at Manzgam in Noorabad area.

During the grievance redressal camp, locals and the PRI members called upon the DC and raised various demands and issues for disposal.

Several delegations from Avil, Manzgam, Koreal, GujjarBasti, Hallan and other areas flagged their issues and grievances for redressal and also put forth their demands.

People demanded construction of Koreal Gujjar basti road, augmentation of LT power network, Transformer for Kuttaypora Manzgam, repairs of Hallan road, firewood for masjid hamams and other issue of public importance.

Officers present on the spot responded to queries and issues raised by the people and various issues were redressed on the spot.

While responding to the demand of augmentation of water supply scenario in the area, the DC apprised the people that all households will be covered Under Jal Jeevan Mission and this target will be achieved within set timeframe.

He also added that a foolproof mechanism is in place to provide hassle-free services to people during winters and district administration has positioned Snow cutter and other machines for snow clearance this season.

The DC also directed the Executive Engineer PDD to ensure power supply as per schedule during winter season.

He also highlighted new initiatives taken up by administration to boost tourism sector across district.

ADC, ACD, Executive Engineers, CEO, BDO, Tehsildar and other officers were also present in this grievance redressal camp.
