SHOPIAN, NOVEMBER 24: To address the issues of public at their door steps, the District Administration Shopian today organized Block Diwas cum grievance redressal camp at Block Imamsahib, Shopian, under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the present UT Government is committed to ensure balanced growth and development of all areas.
He said that the Government is keen on providing corruption free and transparent service to the people so that they do not have to face any inconvenience. He added that the aim of conducting weekly Block Diwas is to bridge the gap between people and Administration to ensure smooth and timely public service delivery.
He stressed for close coordination of PRIs with the administration for proper planning and saturation of development works in their respective areas.
On the occasion, the people of Imamsahib raised various issues and demands the DDC heard their issues and demands patiently and assured that their genuine demands will be looked into and resolved at an earliest.
Regarding Covid, the Vaishya appealed to the people to follow Covid appropriate behavior and ensure usage of masks, sanitizers and maintenance of social distance.
The DDC directed the officers to ensure execution of all ongoing developmental works on priority basis within stipulated time frame.
Joint Director Planning, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Development, Hilal Ahmed Jeri, AEEs, Block Development Officer, Sarpanches and other concerned officers/officials, besides large number of people from the adjoining areas of Imam Sahib were present.
