Tripura Violence: Supreme Court to hear Trinamool's plea today

New Delhi, Nov 23: The Supreme Court will on Tuesday hear the contempt petition filed by the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) Party, regarding deterioration of law and order in Tripura ahead of civic body elections in the northeast state.

All India TMC party had mentioned the matter before the Supreme Court yesterday and alleged that the violence against its party workers is still continuing and also many false cases are being filed by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.

Justice Dr Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud led bench of the Apex Court yesterday had said, it will hear the matter today.
