Arunachal’s active COVID-19 caseload reduce to 34

Itanagar, Nov 23: Persisting its diminishing trend, Arunachal Pradesh continues to see the single-day COVID-19 recoveries exceeding the daily fresh cases.

As many as eight persons were cured of the disease during the past 24 hours, whereas four people have tested positive for the infection in the period that took the state’s tally of confirmed cases to 55,251, a senior health official said while adding that the state’s active caseload has decreased to 34.

Three of the four fresh cases were reported from West Kameng while the other case was detected in Itanagar Capital Complex. All four cases turned out to be asymptomatic, he said.

Arunachal Pradesh tested 465 samples for COVID-19 to find the new cases that took its cumulative figure to 11,96,491.

So far, 54,937 individuals have recuperated from the ailment. The recovery rate currently stands at 99.43 per cent.

The state has administered more than 13.87 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses to its adult population to date since the launch of the nationwide vaccination drive on January 16 last.

Nearly 7.92 lakh beneficiaries have received the first jab of the anti-COVID vaccine, while over 5.95 lakh people were inoculated fully, the state immunisation officer said.
