3 Persons Arrested on Recovery of Contraband in Bijbehara: Police

Srinagar, Nov 23 : Three persons were arrested on recovery of contraband substance during a naka checking in Bijbehara, officials said on Tuesday morning.

Identifying the arrestees as Mehraj Ahmad Shiekh son of Mohammad Ismail Shiekh, resident of Dalgate Srinagar, Mohammad Altaf Baluki son of Abdul Rashid Baluki, resident of Rainawari Srinagar and Rayees Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Salam Lone, resident of Prochal Pulwama, the officials told GNS that twelve kilograms of Charas powder was recovered from the possession of accused trio.

A case under relevant sections has been registered in this regard and investigations taken up, they added. (GNS)
