India’s Covid active cases declines to 1,24,868 lowest in 531 days

New Delhi, Nov 20: India’s Covid-19 active cases have declined to 1,24,868, lowest in 531 days (17 months), which presently constituted at 0.37 percent lowest since March 2020, according to the Union Health Ministry’s data on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours the country has reported 10,302 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in the country, whereas 267 fatalities were recorded during the same period, taking the total tally to 46 53 49, the Ministry said.

The recovery rate touched 98. 29 per cent as 11,787 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,39,09,708

“The daily positivity rate is 0.96 per cent, which is less than 2 per cent for the last 47 days, whereas the weekly positivity rate is 0.93 per cent which also remains less than 2 per cent for the last 57 days now,” the Ministry reported.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. India has so far conducted over 63.05 Crore tests across the country.

With the administration of 46,31,286 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 115.73 Crore the Ministry said.

“More than 129 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through direct state procurement category.

More than 21.65 Cr balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs,” Said the Ministry.
