Director Handicrafts Kashmir inspects Exhibitions at Pragati Maidan, Noida Haat

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 19: After the successful kick start of the India International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan New Delhi, the Department of Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir has started its 2nd physical exhibition at Noida Haat NCR, Delhi.

The Kashmir Handicrafts Exhibition at Noida Haat will continue till 27th of this month and the artisans are expected to do a good business. From the Kashmir region crafts like Pashmina, Sozni, Wood Carving, Crewel, Paper Machie would be on display and for sale.

The Department has planned another event in the Noida Haat in the month of December 2021 whereby the left out artisans/ participants will get an opportunity to show case their handicraft products at the National level.

The Department of Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir is also sponsoring the participation of the artisans in various other fairs like Delhi Haat, HGH, PITEX and Suraj Kund Mela. This has become necessary in view of the fact that the inventory of the products which failed to reach the destination due to COVID Pandemic has swelled.
