DC Srinagar pays surprise visit to JLNM hospital

Oversees available healthcare facilities to patients

SRINAGAR NOVEMBER 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Wednesday paid a surprise visit to JLNM Hospital, Rainawari and took stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.

The DC made a thorough round of various units of the Hospital including Emergency Block, Surgical Ward, Cardiology Ward, Operation Theatre, Dialysis Unit, Orthopaedic Unit, Ayushman Bharat Help Desk, besides Ticket cum Registration counter.

On the occasion, the DC interacted with the Patients, Doctors and the Para Medical staff on duty. He took direct feedback from the patients regarding the available patient care facilities, besides providing medicines, meals and other medical facilities to the patients and their attendants.

While interacting with the Doctors and Para-Medical staff on duty, the DC advised them to perform their duties with added zeal and passion to serve the public. He asked them to ensure availability of Medical and Para-Medical staff strictly as per the devised roster so that patients do not face any difficulty.

He advised the Medical Superintendent to ensure better and up to mark medical facilities to the patients and remain caring and compassionate towards them.

He also passed instructions to the Hospital administration to maintain complete cleanliness and hygienic atmosphere in and around the Hospital, besides heating facilities in the hospital.

During the inspection, The DC inspected the process of Admit Card and Billing System, besides implementation of PM-JAY-Sehat (Golden Cards) and asked for maintaining a transparent and prompt delivery mechanism so that patients and their attendants do not face any inconvenience.

Meanwhile, the deputation of need based employees working in the Hospital met the DC and put forth their issues for early redressal.

Medical Superintendent, JLNM, Dr Rauf and other senior Doctors accompanied the DC during the visit.
