Budgam Police cracked burglary case within 36 hours
Jewellery worth lakhs of rupees recovered.
Police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam arrested two burglars and recovered jewellery worth ten lakh from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that two days back police post Soibugh received an application from one Showkat Ahmad Zargar son of Ghulam Nabi Zargar resident of Dambipora stating therein that some unknown burglars entered in his jewellery shop located at Main Chowk Soibugh and decamped with gold items worth 10 lakh approximately.
Police said after registering a case, investigation was set into motion and during the course of investigation, some CCTV footages were obtained. While examining those footages, questioning number of suspects and examining circumstantial evidence investigating team led by chowki officer Inspector Toufeeq zeroed in on 2 suspects namely Syed Zaffar Shah alias Zaffar Safari and Imran Hussain Malla, both residents of Yakhmanpora area of Pattan.
Both of them were detained and during sustained questioning, they confessed their involvement in commission of the crime and on their disclosure the stolen property worth 10 lakh was recovered which includes 25 rings, 20 ear rings, 2 double jhumkas, one brouch, 11 jhumkas, one choker set with top, 2 ear tops and a chain with pendulum.
Both the accused are under custody and investigation is in progress.
During the course of investigation, some CCTV footages were obtained. While examining cctv footages, questioning number of suspects and examining circumstancial evidence investigating team led by chowki officer Insp Toufeeq zeroed in on 02 persons namely Syed Zaffar Shah@Zaffar Safari S/o Syed Muzaffar Shah & Imran Hussain Malla S/o Ghulam Mohammad Malla residents of Yakhmanpora pattan
Both of them were detained and during sustained questioning, they confessed their involvement in commission of the crime and on their disclosure the stolen property worth approx 10 lakh has been recovered which includes:

2.Ear rings=20 nos
3.Double Jhumkas=02 nos
4.Brouch=01no
5.Jhumkas=02 nos
6.Choker set with top=01 no.
7.Ear tops=02 nos
8.Jhumka=09nos
9.Chain with Pendulum=01 no
Both the accussed were subsequently arrested in the instant case and investigation is in progress. More arrests and recoveries are likely.
