India logs 10,929 new COVID cases, 392 deaths

New Delhi, Nov 6 : A total of 10,929 people have tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours in the country, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday.


As per the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the latest addition has pushed the cumulative case tally to 3,43,44,683 while the death toll rose to 4,60,265 as 392 succumbed to the virus.

On the other hand, 12,509 more people have recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 3,37,37,468.

The recovery rate stands at 98.22 per cent, highest since March last year.

The cumulative active caseload now stands at 1,46,950, less than one per cent of the total cases, the figures showed.

According to the bulletin, 61.39 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

Meanwhile, India has administered 107.92 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
