Contest forthcoming polls if party decides: CM Yogi

Gorakhpur, Nov 6 :Announcing that the much awaited Poorwanchal expressway will be dedicated to the nation later this month, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has admitted that he will contest the assembly polls in the state early next year.

Talking to reporters here on late Friday night , CM said that he will contest the assembly polls from the seat , party high command decides.

“In BJP everything about the elections and candidature is decided by the party’s parliamentary board. Hence they will too decide from where I will contest the assembly polls,” he said.

He further said that he has never shied away from elections and is ready to contest the assembly polls.

On the other Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, who is MP from Azamgarh , has decided not to contest assembly polls this time.

Yogi Adityanath, was elected to UP Legislative council after he was appoined CM in 2017 following his resignation from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat.

Several assembly seats have been kept reserved for Yogi Adityanath in the coming 2022 assembly polls. But there is a speculation that either he will contest from Gorakhpur or from Ayodhya.

The CM said that the Poorwanchal expressway will be inaugurated by Prime minister Narendra Modi this month.

” PM has watched the presentation of the Poorwanchal Expressway and has given his nod for its inauguration, ” said while adding that over 6 million new jobs would be generated in Poorwanchal alone after the start of this expressway.

Talking about his government ‘s achievement, the CM said ,”UP got recognition and , freedom from all type of crisis while UP’s law and order is an example in the entire country.” He said the Deepotsava festiva of Ayodhya has emerged as a global event.

He further said that UP has being identified as the best destination for investment and the state tops the whole country in food distribution.
