Truck crushes scooty rider to death in Kulgam

Kulgam, Nov 04: A 17-year-old scooty rider was killed after he was hit by a truck at Kousarbal area of Damhal Hanjipora in South Kashmir’s Kulgam on Thursday afternoon, an official said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a truck (JK05E- 5457) driven by one Yaseen Hakeem, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Zoonimar Srinagar hit a Scooty (JK18C-3955) driven by one Burhan Rashid (17), son of Abdul Rashid Thokar of D H Pora, Kulgam.

“The scooty rider sustained critical wounds,” official said, adding that was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations initiated,” official added—(KNO)
