Petrol, diesel prices hiked again, hit new all time high

New Delhi, Nov 1: Fuel prices continued to surge to record high levels as oil marketing companies increased prices of petrol and diesel for the sixth straight day on Monday.

In the national capital, the petrol and diesel prices were increased by 35 paise each.Post hike, petrol in Delhi was available at Rs 109.69 per litre, while diesel was at Rs 98.42 per litre.

In Kolkata, petrol prices were increased by 36 paise and a litre of petrol was being sold at Rs 110.15 while diesel prices were increased by 37 paise and a litre of diesel was retailed at Rs 101.56.

In Mumbai, a litre of petrol costs Rs 115.50 while diesel Rs 106.62.In Chennai, a litre of petrol was available at Rs 106.35 and diesel at Rs 102.59.

Prices differ from state to state depending on the rate of local taxes.
