Panaji, Oct 30 ( Months ahead of the assembly elections in Goa, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will arrive on a day-long visit to the state on Saturday.
According to Goa Congress President Girish Chodankar, Mr Gandhi will begin his visit by meeting fisherfolk at Valsao ( a coastal village in South Goa). Later, he will pay floral tributes at the Martyrs Monument at Azad Maidan in the city and meet people affected by the mining ban. Later in the evening he will address Congress Workers’ Convention ‘Jagor’ at S P Mukherjee Stadium near the city.
Assembly elections in Goa are scheduled to be held early next year.
