Mughal Road thrown open for traffic

Shopian, Oct 26, KNT: Traffic movement on historic Mughal Road was allowed on Tuesday for Light Motor Vehicles.

Mughal Road which connects twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri in the Jammu region with south Kashmir’s Shopian district had been closed for the traffic after recent snowfall.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Trust that vehicular movement on the Mughal Road has been restored. He said that light motor vehicles are allowed both sides while heavy motor vehicles are allowed only from Shopian towards Poonch.

He said that traffic was allowed on the historic road after competition of snow clearance process. (KNT)
