PM, BJP leaders extend greetings to Amit Shah on his birthday

New Delhi, Oct 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP party leaders on Friday wished Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his 57th birthday and hailed his contribution in strengthening the party.

In a tweet, Modi said, “Birthday greetings to Shri @AmitShah Ji. I have worked with Amit Bhai for several years and witnessed his outstanding contributions to strengthen the Party and in Government. May he keep serving the nation with the same zeal. Praying for his good health and long life.”

BJP president JP Nadda said in a tweet, “Rich in energy, hard work, knowledge and efficiency, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Hon’ble Shri @AmitShah Happy Birthday to your hard work and service towards nation building is exemplary for all. I pray to God for your good health and long life.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also greeted Shah and said, “Greetings and warm wishes to Union Home Minister and our senior colleague, Shri @AmitShah on his birthday. He is making tremendous efforts to ensure a safe and secure India. Praying for his long and healthy life in service of the people.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in his message said, “Happy Birthday to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, Home Minister of the country, @AmitShah. May you stay healthy and long, I pray to God.”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also wished him on his birthday.

“Birthday greetings to Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @AmitShah ji. I pray for your long and healthy life,” he tweeted.

The Home Minister was born in Mumbai in 1964. In 1987, he joined Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of BJP, and started his political career.

Before becoming the BJP president in 2014 he served as a minister in Modi-led Gujarat government. Shah joined the Narendra Modi-government as Union Home Minister after it took charge for a second term in 2019.
