Team Red’s health wing will ensure the availability of best of health services:Saadat Nasir Wani

Srinagar, 10 October: The Jammu and Kashmir Team-Red on Sunday underscored the need of intensifying the
NGO’s help to tackle the Pandemic and support the most needy people of the society.While kick-staring “Kashmir breathe easy” campaign here at the Team–Red headquarters Rajbagh.

On the occasion Patron JK TeamRed Nasir Aslam Wani, Noted Pulmonologist Dr. Naved Nazir, Dr Ashiq Rashid Team-Red Executive Members HODs were also present. With this initiative, the Heath Wing of the Team-Red will launch free Tele-consultation (Doctors available in the team), subsidized and freemedications for the under privileged and other vulnerable sections of the society.

The initiative will make oxygen concentrators easily available at all district units of the Team-Red NGO. The inititiative also stresses on reducing the out of pocket expenditures incurred by underprivileged sections of the society on health various ailments.

On the occasion, the NGO also received a consignment of oxygen concentrators from TIMKEN, India.While addressing the gathering, Team Red Chairman Saadat Nasir Wani said, “The campaign under the auspices of Team Red’s health wing will ensure the availability of best of health services to the underprivileged sections of society. The oxygen concentrators will be quite beneficial for the patients undergoing home isolation, and those suffering from other chronic respiratory diseases.

During winters the condition of patients suffering with varied chronic respiratory diseases gets aggravated and the availability of the oxygen concentrators is also limited apart from being expensive. The initiative will go a long way in helping the poorest of poor from the out of pocket expenditures.

I’m sure that the Team-Red members will live up to the mission and ensure that the required support reaches those who are in need,” he said.
On the occasion, Dr Naveed Nazir appreciated the team for its frontline efforts during the Covid-19 times in the shape of donation drives, medical camps and distribution of free ration kits.

“The initiative will add to the efforts against fighting Covid-19 complicacies and other health predicament that aggravate during the
winter months. I congratulate the efforts of the Team Red, and thank TIMKEN for their support. I also Thank concerned health specialists for this outreach,” he said.
