Modi launches SVAMITVA Scheme in MP

Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the SVAMITVA Scheme in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday by electronically distributing 1.71 lakh e-property cards to residents of about 3,000 villages in 19 districts.

Mr Modi joined the event via videoconferencing from New Delhi while Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was present in Harda.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said, “Under the SVAMITVA Scheme, digital property cards are ready for about 22 lakh families in various states and the process is being expanded. In this manner, rural Indians are being brought out of the vicious cycle of debt by making it easier to avail bank loans. The e-property cards will prevent wastage of time and money in litigation over land disputes. Drone technology being utilised under the SVAMITVA Scheme will enhance transparency and ensure better service delivery.”
