PM Modi inaugurates New Urban Conclave  in Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 5(UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the three day Amrit Mahotsav program of independence here on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister handed over keys through digital medium to 75,000 beneficiaries of 75 districts of PMAI-Urban in the state.

PM also interacted with three PMAI-Urban beneficiaries and under the Smart City Mission. They were Vimlesh of Agra, Ramjanki Pal of Kanpur and Babita of Lalitpur.

He also released coffee table book of 75 successful projects of 10 smart cities of Uttar Pradesh.

PM digitally inaugurated the Atal Bihari Vajpayee chair at the Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar university in Lucknow.

The PM inaugurated the New Urban Conclave and viewed the exhibition along with Defence minister Rajnath Singh, UP governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with union urban development minister Hardeep Singh Puri.

In the exhibition 75 housing technologies on the theme of New Urban India has been showcased.

Apart from this, the operation of 75 electric buses was flagged off for seven cities of the state.

During the program organized to commemorate the 75th year of independence, the Prime Minister inaugurated and lay the foundation stone of 75 projects at a total cost of Rs 4737 crores.

The progammee was held at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan in Gomti Nagar area of the state capital.

On this occasion, 15 development projects worth Rs 1537.02 crores were inaugurated by the Prime Minister and the foundation stone of 30 development projects to be built at a cost of Rs 1256.22 crores were laid.

Under the Prime Minister’s AMRUT Mission, 17 drinking water projects at a cost of Rs 502.24 crores were inaugurated and foundation work of 13 projects to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1441.70 crores were laid.
