Mehbooba alleges Army ransacked houses in J&K’s Pulwama

Srinagar, Sep 28 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday alleged that Army ransacked houses and thrashed members of a family in south Kashmir district of Pulwama last night.

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president further alleged a woman received head injuries and was admitted to hospital.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Mehbooba said “ Army from Yagwani camp in Tral ransacked homes & ruthlessly thrashed a family last night.The daughter owing to her serious injuries was admitted to hospital.Not the first time that civilians from this village have been beaten up by army in this area @ChinarcorpsIA @adgpi”.

Mehbooba is a Vice Chairperson of Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), an alliance of five mainstream parties, formed for restoration of Article 370 and 35 A, abrogated by the centre on August 5, 2019.
