PM Modi leaves for US visit

New Delhi, Sep 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday embarked on a four-day visit to the US, where he will attend the first in-person Quad summit, besides holding important bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden, and with his counterparts from Australia and Japan, as well as address the UN General Assembly.

PM @ScottMorrisonMP and PM @sugawitter;“and address at the 76th UN General Assembly, await!,” the Ministry of External Affairs tweeted.

The Prime Minister will attend the Quad meeting on September 24, and also hold bilateral meetings with President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris.On September 25, he will address the UN General Assembly.

In a departure statement, the PM said his visit would be an occasion to strengthen the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership with America and also consolidate relations with strategic partners Japan and Australia and take forward their collaboration on important global issues.
