Nine injured in accident in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 16 (UNI) Nine persons were injured, two of them critically, when a vehicle in which they were travelling met with a road accident in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal on Monday, official sources said.

A load carrier on way to Kangan from Manigam skidded off the road at Wusan resulting in injuries to nine persons.

A rescue operation was immediately launched and the injured were shifted to local hospital at Kangan from where two of them were referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for specialized treatment.

Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
