JAIH demands inquiry into mysterious fire in a Srinagar shrine

Srinagar, Aug 12 (UNI) The Jamaat Aitqaad International Hanafiya (JAIH) on Thursday demanded an inquiry into the mysterious fire in the shrine of Hazrat Saboor Sahib in the down Srinagar on Tuesday.

In a statement, Chairman of the JAIH Khawaja Farooq Renzushah urged district administration to immediately reconstruct the shrine of Hazrat Saboor at Waniyar Safa Kadal in the downtown.

He said in the dead of night on Tuesday, the mysterious fire caused extensive damage to shrine, adding that all the facts about burning of the shrine should be unmasked and those responsible punished.

Fire incident in the shrines of Hazrat Sheikh Nooruddin Wali at Charar-e-Sharief, Gousal Azam Dastigeer Sahib at Khanayar and other Sufi shrines in the past remained a mystery and no efforts were made to expose those behind these deliberate acts.
