Rahul Gandhi’s pain genuine as PM Modi ended dynasty rule forever: BJP J&K spokesman Altaf Thakur

Quality healthcare, better roads,Upgrading educational infra my top priority for Dadsara DDC constituency: Altaf Thakur

‘First time in history BJP government completed three-tier panchayati raj system in J&K,  Congress invited outsiders to KU other varsities, we promoted local talent, Congress assaulted J&K since Independence, J&K UT on the path of peace, development’

Srinagar, Aug 12: Jammu and Kashmir BJP unit’s spokesman Altaf Thakur lashed out at the AICC General Secretary and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for claiming that J&K was facing direct assault from New Delhi, stating that the fact was “Rahul’s pain was genuine as PM Narendera Modi ended dynasty rule in the country forever.”

In a statement issued here, BJP JK spokesman Thakurs said BJP understands pain through which Rahul is going through as indeed, Rahul and his party are feeling pained because of the fact that dynasty rule has gone down the earth forever. “Return of dynasty rule is not bleak but impossible now. The pain will remain for Congress leadership across the country,” Thakur said, in response to Rahul’s Srinagar speech where he said that J&K was facing direct assault from New Delhi.

Thakur said that direct handling of J&K by the BJP government post abrogation of article 370 helped the UT flourish on all fronts. “Today, Kashmir is as peaceful as it was before the eruption of militancy. This is how Delhi is handling Kashmir and peaceful Kashmir is indeed painful for Rahul and his company,” he said. Thakur said Congress ruled J&K and the country for 70 years and instead of taking the country forward, it promoted individuals rather than the country itself.

Thakur said it was because of PM Modi’s vision that J&K is touching new heights. It was for the first time in history that the BJP led regime ensured completion of three-tier panchayati raj system in J&K, Thakur said, adding that Congress had always been playing politics for its petty political gains.

The BJP J&K spokesman said that Rahul’s emotional drama in Srinagar won’t succeed as people of J&K are politically mature enough to understand the “dynasty politics.” “Rahul played the Kashmir card stating he has a bit of Kashmiriyat in him, but the fact remains that ‘he is too far from Kashmiriyat.”

He said Congress broke India through corruption and fake deals, and it was PM Modi who has brought States and UTs together. Thakur said that Article 370 was the big hurdle in J&K’s development and it did not only promote dynasty rule but also militancy in the region. “By rolling back Article 370, J&K is at par with any other State/UT of India and there is no disparity on any front now,” Thakur said and advised Rahul to refrain from provoking Kashmiri people through hollow slogans. As for the restoration of Statehood, Thakurs said Union Home Minister Amit ShahJi has made it ample clear that Statehood will be granted to J&K soon and that elections will also be held once the delimitation exercise will be completed. “There is no room for politics over these issues,” Thakur added.
