Srinagar, Aug 9 (UNI) Security forces on Monday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district.
According to officials sources, on a specific information about the presence of militants, troops of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF and Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint CASO at old town Sopore.
All exit points were sealed and roads leading to CASO area closed.
Later, the forces launched house-to-house searches, they said, adding that so far, no contact was established with the militants.
