LS adjourned till 1400 hrs amid Oppn protests over Pegasus snooping row, farm bills

New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) Proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 1400 hrs on Wednesday

amid ruckus by the Opposition over various issues, including Pegasus row and contentious farm bills.

As the Question Hour commenced, the Opposition Members, carrying placards, entered the Well of the House and started sloganeering over the Pegasus snooping row and new farm bills.

Speaker Om Birla ran the Question Hour amid sloganeering by the Opposition members.

After the Question Hour, the Papers were laid on the table of the House amid the din.

Amid sloganeering by the Opposition members, Congress members also threw papers at the Chair and Treasury benches but Rajendra Agarwal, who was in the Chair, tried to continue with the proceedings. Matters under Rule 377 were taken up.

As the ruckus continued unabated, Mr Agarwal adjourned the House till 1230 hrs.

Upon reassembling after the first adjournment at 1230 hrs, the Opposition Members again trooped into the Well and started sloganeering, forcing Rajendra Agarwal, who was in the Chair, to adjourn the House till 1400 hrs.
