Two cousins found dead in Srinagar, family alleges murder

Srinagar, Jul 17 (UNI) Bodies of two cousin brothers were found under suspicious circumstances in the summer capital, Srinagar, official sources said on Saturday.

Panic gripped Shireen Bagh area in Srinagar when bodies of two youth were found under suspicious circumstances by locals late last evening. On being being informed, police came and took away the bodies.

The deceased were identified as Mohsin Qadri and Shahid Qadri, both residents of Kunzar, Tangmarg in north Kashmir district of Baramulla. “The duo used to run a medical shop in Kunzar and had gone to Srinagar to buy supplies,” they said.

After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the bodies were handed over to their relatives for last rites.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased youth have alleged that the duo was murdered and demanded a thorough investigation to nab and punish the culprits behind the crime.
Police have registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the deaths.
