The commission will meet representatives of political parties, State Election Commission (SEC) officials, Deputy Commissioners and other stakeholders to gather first-hand information to carve out new constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.

‘Yes our five-member team headed by State Secretary of the CPI(M) will meet the commission’, senior leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami told UNI.

Tarigami, who is spokesperson of the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Alliance (PAGD), said the delegation will present detailed view point to commission over the delimitation issue at 1630 hrs today.

However, I am not meeting since my health is not well, Mr Tarigami said.

He said a meeting of PAGD at the residence of chairman of the alliance Dr Farooq Abdullah yesterday authorized all the alliance partners to take final call about meeting the commission individually since invitation from the commission has been received separately.
