Jet fuel prices hiked

New Delhi, Jul 1 (UNI) Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices were increased by more than three per cent on Thursday.

According to state-run India Oil Corporation, the largest supplier of jet fuel in the country, ATF price in Delhi was hiked by Rs 2,354.07 (3.57 per cent) to Rs. 68.262.35 per kilo litre.

In the national capital, ATF rate was increased by 2.68 per cent on June 16, 2021.

Aviation fuel prices have direct impact on air fares since it constitutes 30-40 per cent of total expenditure of an airline. With this revision, air fares may also go up.

ATF prices across other cities have also increased from today. In Kolkata, aviation fuel price is up by Rs 2,289.38 (3.27 per cent) to Rs. 72,295.24 per kilo liter. In Mumbai, now airlines have to pay Rs 66,482.90 per kilo litre with a hike of Rs. 2,414.25 (3.77 per cent). Jet fuel price in Chennai has been increased by Rs 2,491.51 (3.69 per cent) to reach Rs 70,011.44 per kilo litre.
