Kupwara Youth’s Body Retrieved 4 Days After Jumping In Jhelum Near Noorbagh Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 29 : Body of a teenager from Kupwara, who had jumped in Jhelum near Noorbagh area of Srinagar on June 25 evening, was retrieved from the water body on Tuesday.

The 17-year old youth from Kupwara district had shot a video before jumping into the river.
A police officer told GNS that body was retrieved by joint team of river police and locals.

The youth has been identified as Saqib Ahmad Ahanger son of Abdul Kalaam Ahanger, a resident of Kupwara.

Meanwhile the body has been taken into custody by police and after medico-legal formalities would be handed over to the family for last rites. (GNS)
